Hakija: A free NSE end of day data downloader

Is there any big difference between downloading EOD data from Bhavcopy Vs Hakija?

You will have to unzip it manually and then update your charting software. You will also have to download index data manually.

indices like nsenifty not downloading smoothly , some time not all,but bhavcopy portion is ok. but working(indices ) in other system

Indices are downloaded without any problem. Only VIX is not downloaded.

may be system to system varies or net. any way may be we are loosing good software like hakija. any way sud contribute for the developer to encourage him to update.

I am not into live trading and it will take me some time to understand how to get reliable live data from something like Yahoo finance.

If and when I get the time, I will look into it. But I don't have the time right now.

I am sure there are some software which download live data, ask other traderji members.

Data Feeder is one of them and freely available which downloads the data from yahoo website and can feed into txt files or Amibroker but it only feeds spot data.Not sure about futures data.

hi Guptaji,
when i tried to convert data files downloaded through latest version v1.0.1 in metastock format through metastock down loader software it gives error,this problem was not there in the older version, please rectify. I also tried to import to amibroker through import ascii but it also gives error.

no problem as i tested now just unzip in a fresh folder. database matching with getbhacopy will matching hakija also but better than getbhav for nse eod. expect him to come with nsefuture , but this time historical data will be needed.
