how much return you expect from commodity market

Hello,

The thread is very interesting to me as a newcomer in financial trading. TA is very new to me and I have only learned moving average cross overs, RSI, Stoch and ADX before starting in commodities.

While the thread seems advanced. What course/lessons do beginners need before they can learn the techniques used by you, Ashwani and Cotton to calculate the EOD and swing?

TA is new to me so learning so even the concept of 4 hour swing I do not clearly get. Thanks to the thread I have learned how to use 4 hour time frames in trade tiger (http://www.traderji.com/metals/48890-how-much-return-you-expect-commodity-market-64.html#post537401 )

Before getting the 4 hour swing concept, what do I need to learn? I am not yet at the level to calculate EOD or 4 hour swings. What is essential TA lessons is needed to be learned? I'd be happy for even links to lessons that aid in learning TA concepts used in the thread. I have been reading the thread since Early May and find it the most interesting thread on Traderji :) )

Edit: I am not yet at the level to calculate EOD resistance/support levels. What lessons are needed to learn how to calculate EOD resistance/support levels and to be able to accurately say when a metal is long or short at EOD or 4 hour time frames??? I am almost about to start reading through the thread a second time.

I am currently using EMA 35 and EMA 55 on a 15 minute time frame on a 5 day window (on a 30 minute time frame, EMA 55 seems to appear only for a current day in trade tiger) to hint at whether a trend is long or short.
will shortly tell you the first basics to be sucessfull(may be on sat/sunday)

I'm looking forward to ya information/processes Ashwani. I cannot wait for when I can calculate entry positions (using 4 hour frame) and exit positions (EOD frame) even though as of now, I have yet to calculate support and resistance (as well as finding when a commodity is long or short) the way ya do.

if you are using technical charts add stoch and any one out of these two indicators kst(know sure thing) or rsi ,study there detail from inter nett, try to use them and then discuss any problem with me i hope your 50 % problem will solve at once

to day zink and alumini showing strongness.one can go long at dip
With RSI on a 30 minute time frame, I have also seen that Silver and Lead are at the very bottom and a recovery may start.

I have learned stoch and RSI. I have recently discovered that at least a 30 minute time frame is needed for maximum value from Stoch. I was using 5 minute time frames but stoch and also RSI were not much value

I am using SMA 10 and SMA 30 (on 3 minute charts) for learning when is an ok time to enter an intra-day trade with EMA 55 and EMA 35 on a 30 minute chart for checking whether a metal is long or short.

I think that ya use a 4 hour chart and at 12 O'clock, 4 O'clock and 8 O'clock, look at whether a metal is long or short based on the color of a candle?

now you are at the right track !!!even one hour chart is not supporting trend, for intra day moves, for a profit target of 500 to 2000, you can use even 30 minute time frame, for swing(five day time period to hold a move) use four hour, for over all trend, use foue hour

Stoch 60 minutes ( I was on a 30 minute or 15 minute window) saved me from staying in a long in Zinc, I am short selling as there is a massive sell off right now. Stoch at 90 minutes doesn't seem to work very well.
