ADX on 4 hour charts still shows strength for bears. -DI is above +DI (starting or holding onto longs is not advisable; it would have been nice if I had discovered that before today morning :) )

Financial trading has been a long, almost year long learning process for me and I thank @Ashwani and thread posters for their patience and insights that allowed me to reach my current trading maturity.

As soon as I post the above, +DI crosses -DI for Zinc on 4 hour charts of ADX.

When 10 o'clock bar closes and +DI stays above -DI, long entries are safe.

I noticed that resistance (103.3) was reached in the morning but price dropped to pivot levels (102.1) in Zinc. Anyway, if I had not exited, I would not have paid attention to +DI and -DI cross overs in ADX on 4 hour charts.

we exited ,at a time ,when it reversed ..may be this indicator would have helped to know this ..

Zinc has gone upto 103.85,cmp..Today was one of those days ,where both short and long positions ,would have made profit !
no ,nothing like short
once we enter in a trade we can use aggressive or conservative stop loss to exit,to day conservative stop loss was 101/40
trade was closed before even the conservative stop loss hit, till stop loss don't hit it was a long trade, trade was closed due to fear of loss, not due to technical reason.technically long was alive

With 4 hour ADX and DI cross overs, longs yesterday and today morning were risky longs.

My nerves got the better of me and I exited above the pivot. I think it was fear that had me look to using ema 20 as an exit.

@Ashwani, is it recommended to add 0.15 paisa to resistance or support when entering a trade?

Eg. Price at resistance for Zinc today was 103.3, 103.45 could be the trigger price for entering a long? I am long again as of 103.55 (my previous long was at 103.05 and I did not check to see resistance levels at the time.)

dear klewtar,
once you know ,this is the resistance, and if it will be broken it will become support for further move
NOW SUPPOSE YOU ARE TRADING EOD TIME FRAME
AND RESISTANCE IS OF END OF DAY
NOW USE RSI AT SOME LOWER TIME FRAME
FOR STOCK MARKET ONE HOUR TIME FRAME WILL WORK AT RSI FOR BREAKOUT
AND FOR COMMODITY MARKET MINIMUM TIME FRAME WHICH YOU WILL USE,SHOULD NOT BE LESS THEN TWO HOUR--TO BE CONTINUED

NOW (CONDITION ONE) BREAKOUT AT RSI OF LOWER TIME FRAME HAS MATURED
AND(CONDITION TWO)AT THE TIME OF BREAKOUT BAR OF LOWER TIME FRAME,PRICE WAS ABOVE RESISTANCE OF END OF DAY TIME FRAME
----------IF BOTH THESE CONDITION OR FULL FILLED THEN YOU WILL ASSUME THAT NOW RESISTANCE HAS BEEN BROKEN,AND NOW RESISTANCE HAS BECOME SUPPORT ,NOW YOU WILL ENTER LONG AT ONCE---to be continued
