some question:
Atr is calculated over a period of 14 days..but we can use it from 21 days also...what is the best time period for commodities?
Atr is used on eod basis..
Atr for yesterday was 23.53...
We compare the atr from the previous day...and if the same is above it means the consolidation is still left...
Can atr be used on a 60 min chart and then compare the same with eod atr?

atr can be used at all time frame,normal popular period are 10/14/20----atr is used for stop loss purpose,not for knowing that consolidation is over are not,atr can be ueed at 60 minte,share khan has recently added atr in their modified software,my lap top was not supporting this software,to day i have increased the ram in my lap top,now it will support,after loading new software i will give you complete detail of atr ,that how you have to take benifit of atr while trading

dear cotton , we have to buy a stock at a leval where smart money is accumlating it.nickle april was accumlated by smart money at 1190 leval,half of the positions were were left by them in between 1200 to 1203, your buying decision was ,too late, tommorow if open gap up try to take some profit.to DAY swing resistance was 1203 that is why some profit booking was there

to day eod support 1193/-at present trading above eod support,if closing above 1193/- to day it is a positive long sign

Got it..I was at the right time..but did not take the right move..I knew with the data that accumulation is almost over and the same is pushing price...probably inexperience..

dear sumeet,silver ,at eod, at present is conslidating,may take 2/3 day more but eod support to day54650/- to take some reasonable profit tommorow may be a better strategy if cant hold for more time, to day i squared up at 55250/-few time back(swing position)
