My views on Manipulation in the market.

Yes! it is there but larger the Market, larger the Time Frame of trade, less is the chance manipulation can harm your trading. I personally don't care for it as this is part of trading business.

While i was reading book on Jesse Livermore and also interviews of Demark i noticed one thing very clear, it is more difficult to trade for FIIs, DIIs, or those big boys with big pockets.

Let's take one example. If i have to buy 100k contracts of NIFTY my buying in any dull day or buying day would adversely affect my average Buy price. So i would choose to either buy my positions in 3-4 days or i would buy when selling is at it's peak using Demark indicators.

Now that i have 100k contracts with me i am trapped if market does not move in my expected direction as my loss booking would affect adversely my average Sell price, leading to losses with other costs. Also, i can not offload my positions in a hurry.

This was the reason why DeMark was given a huge fund to design indicators for his trading institution with big pockets.

Assignment:

Take any two markets one index, one spot of your liking and track both of them and analyse in the evening, what happened and why it happened intraday, technical reasons or fundamental reasons what dominated, which patterns formed, mood of the market, OI, volume and finally how could have traded it.

I did this exercise with Nifty for one year and mastered WW.
Yes Sir will surely do that.

THANKS.

nsebank, equity market, gold . I will choose this.

Irony of TV Technical Analysts

I have heard guys on ET now regularly for 7-8 months. Sudarshan Sukhani, Ashwini Gujral, recently Mitesh Thakker has replaced Sudarshan.

1. Well in the first place no one can be traded to make sustainable profits, they change their views very frequently seeing the mood of the market, especially Ashwini. He trades exclusively in NIFTY and gives his views on stocks too.

2. I like discipline in thinking of Sudarshan. He maintained a call that the whole bull market of two years should make a correction to approximately 4000 NIFTY levels for one reason or the other.

3. None of them knows Wolfe Waves, let me tell you. All the time (5-6 times on Daily charts in last one year) they got trapped along with their followers if at all exist.

4. Regarding many guys those who appear from brokerage houses i avoid listening to them. Had they been a real trader they would not have been working for an ordinary pay cheque. (Exceptions do exist)

I would give higher rating and attention to many guys here on TJ like SG, Saint.
