How to trade with an oscillator

Re: How to trade with an oscillator Part 2

This strategy works in all timeframes. Market in OB zone after a sustained move of 400 Nifty points has less chances of making a new high than the market move when it is starting. We have also completed Sequential sell signal on Nifty, that has to be kept in mind.

I feel we will have a downside correction now, though the long term bullish bias is still intact. After the correction, we will have another upmove which is certainly likely to make the new high.

Smart_trade
going major long in nifty and banks if 5876 holds on the future nifty. any thoughts?

Re: How to trade with an oscillator Part 2

dear st sir /seniors,

i was reading the oscillator thread from begin i know that if stoc flips back less than 5 bar in os/ob region is buy/sell but :

what happens if stochastics has stayed in the overbought/oversold zone for 5 bars or more and then stochastics goes to neutral zone? i mean how to enter in trade if more than five in overbought is buy or vice- verca

how to exit from sell entry or buy entry? or wait for the next entry i.e if we are in buy wait for sell indicator ?? i.e
) Let the oscillator go in overbought area.

2) Wait till oscillator from overbought area comes down to neutral area...but make sure that it stays in OB ares for less than 5 bars....

3) Wait for a downclose,ie the bar which closes below the earlier bar's close.

4) Sell when the downclose bar's low is broken .

if we do we loose the gain

which time frame as per you is good i know higher time frame have lass wipshaws so for day15 min or 30 min is better??

and last where should we put s/l for both entries

thanks

FFE,

As per my 5min Crude chart (taken from Nest Trader data), crude was in OS
region from 15:49 candle to 16:24 candle, thus overstaying for more than
5 bars.

As per the previous posts of ST on this subject, I understand that the scrip
which has overstayed in OS continues to be weak though it comes out of
OS region. The weakness can be perceived to have been nullified only when
D crosses above the 50 level.

In the instant case, price was coming out of its bearishness, re-tested the prior
pivot low once again (it made a false breakout below the prior PL), and only
then made an upmove breaking the prior pivot high at 4927, went upto TDST
Resistance, and gained some 20 points in the process.

I am posting my chart here for your ready reference.
