I use win2k with firefox and never had problems with it.

There are lot of free browsers available if you want to check like crazy browsers, avant browser, slim browser, xana etc, but most of them uses IE engines.

I suggest mozilla firefox or mozilla browser can be used. They are more secure when compared to IE or Netscape.

Opera, I feel it is heavy and it was not free when I checked out long back.

On linux, you could still use mozilla or firefox. Epiphany is there too.

I have Redhat FC4 at my home, but I don't use it much.

Thanks,
Balaji.

Hi Balaji

Some time back Opera used to be free only with their ad banner. The pay version was also available without add. Now recently due to high competation from IE and Mozilla and to increase their base they removed the ad banner and made it free for downloading.

I didn't understand this. Do u mean it consumes more space? its about 3.7 MB I believe for downloading. But the browser seems to be faster than IE. Free for trying!!!

The only problem is with platform.

JNTrade/ Sumanth
--- Thanks for the update. JNTrade, can U lead Sumanth to the books online. Sumanth, reading charts require reading books and practice. This group will help too. When charts are displayed, compare Ur analysis of the chart to the analysis of the author. Question the author why he/she thinks the stock suggestion is good. Compare the notes.

Guys, any one can jump in to provide analysis on the lists for suggestions. Lets make this thread an exchange of information.

Market moved a little bit. Based on its action, it looks close to its pull back. Can never predict though. Again, we have an option to sit out and manage existing positions. If U want to trade, metals are still in pull back mode. Banks appear as pull back. If U want to enter any stocks, I have a list.

Previous day's entry on Hindustan Zinc still holds good. Adjust the entry point. I was look at some stocks which are cheap. Below Rs100. I got 1, attaching the chart. I advise caution when U buy cheap stocks. They are prone to manipulation. Why I like Litaka Pharamacy?
1. It has good volume, which will make manipulation hard.
2. It has a nice trend with a pull back.
3. It had a opening gap reversal today.

Others < 100:
ARO Granite
I.G.Petro Ordinary
Jhun Vanaspathi

I also like Maruthi, discussed previously. U can still enter it at the current price (964) with a stop at 930/940. The pull back was not much and the stock successfully tested previous trading range.

I suggest RCVL. Attaching the chart. Today, it tested 8 day EMA successfully and ended flat.

Disclaimer: I remember now and then. Please see whether it makes sense before U enter these stocks. I can be wrong in my selection. And entry price and stops can be adjusted to suit Ur confortability and money management plan.
Litaka Pharamacy got triggered. can still enter it now as it is close to the buy point. For other Stocks, lower Ur entry points (U know how do it right?). Still in setup up.

Litaka Pharamacy
RCVL
Hindustan Zinc
ARO Granite

Please check on others:
Maruthi
I.G.Petro Ordinary
Jhun Vanaspathi

HarmadS - Good to have U back. How is Ur portfolio. Do U see a increase in comparison with the market. Can U provide some input on that.
Hello VV.. Thanks for your valuable input and its going to help me in future..yes scrips in my portfolio have gone up. I have also picked up CIPLA,RIL,RPL since the last time and they should give good results. Currently I am picking up only for longterm investment. Once I gain confidence to trade then I will start intraday..

Hi Chachi,

Opera consumes more CPU and some times system gets hogged because of this. But it happened long back. I will check out new opera and let you know.

Thanks,
Balaji.

Hi,

I would suggest Firefox. Its a great architecture. And its open source. Therefore the open source community at large is busy building extensions and plug ins for firefox that make it rich in features. And more will keep coming.

Use Win XP as it very efficient in resource management.

Thanks,

Mohan
