Yes. This dispute has been on for some time. I think that RIL has the law on their side. But if CAG is allowed to go on with the audit, I think it will open a Pandora's Box of such audits and many more DLFs will tumble out :D
Hi,

For India to really progress I think we should throw open all such Pandora's box so that we do not have Satyam fall out of yester years or DLF, along with Reliance, coupled with mining scammer like Jindal.

Some small gains for them and a life long Service Tax on us.

I sincerely hope India should / will progress without the labels of sams / corruption and then no country / publication will dare say that our PM is a "Non-Performer"

Bye

Should that happen abruptly, we will lose the Box along with Pandora too, because revolutions seldom produce good governments.

Hi,

No matter how the Pandora's Box is opened, khulay tao sahi, baad kee baat baad may daykhee jayee gee.

You are correct that Revolutions seldom produce good governments.

But the main point over here is the same Revolution also gives enough ammo and info to the civilians and empowers them to the core.

We have fought British for our freedom with "Non Violence" and now we are against our own political leaders (the very people whom we voted to power) so the fight is same but the strategy will be somewhat different.

Although Non-Violence should / will be the preferred Weapon of choice. But punishment is also an alternative so that the same offence is not repeated.

timepass,
From the thread of deb where u r a regular visitor ,my understanding is diff reg CAG inspection.
Because lot of public money had gone into it & CAG is wise enough to ask for audit knowing their rights legally.

Hi all,

Law Minister has just now threatened Arvind Kejriwal, that if he comes to Farrukabad to ask question to my voters the main question he should ask is how / weather will he be able to return home.

Who is Salaman Khurshid? Congress appointed Law Minister or Lawless Minister?

Only a Congress leader can give such a wild threat to us Mango People of India a Banana Republic.

And this threat proved beyond doubt that Rs 71 lakhs were indeed siphoned off by his wife in the name of the trust that she was running.

And the market rallied from the low of 5655 - 5670

These are desperate times and some desperate measures will be taken by someone from this Banana Republic.

Ranga, I may be a sceptic. But we all know that all big businesses are corrupt. If some honest auditor starts probing into each and every one of them, we may see stoppage of work and loss of confidence in the economy. Besides, millions of workers will be affected.

See about Kingfisher Airlines. The fat cat liquor peddler didn't pay his staff for months, didn't pay his PF dues, service tax or any dues to the government for years, and yet continued to be an employer, an MP, a patron of sports and generally a bigwig. Only now, when the employees have struck work firmly, has he been stopped. But the employees are still out of work. Haven't been paid for months now... they may benefit in future, but their present is bleak.

We don't want many more such cases happening simultaneously.

timepass,

I may be a sceptic:)

U R right about the concept & elsewhere i had concurred on similar lines.

But ,what is the solution?
Do we give a Free hand to the Looters & disregard & insult Honesty in the name of Employment.

If u r genuine & still incur Loss,it is a diff ball game.

I know very difficult to answer.

We have already given a free hand to the looters, because it is convenient to us, because we don't want to get hurt, because we want to protect ourselves and our loved ones.

Every time we bribe someone for railway booking, we are giving them a free hand. Every time we bribe a traffic policeman, we are giving them a free hand.

Why do u ppl think that such corruption didnt existed before. Its only becoz of new media like new channels .. internet and laws like RTI that it is becoming more difficult for political class to keep them hidden.
Look at corruption in western countries like italy greece ...and financial mis management in USA Japan.Ruling classes act same everywhere. They loot us illegally through scams and grafts and they loot us legally through QEs ..inflation and higher taxes.
Indirect form of Democracy is the biggest scam going of all time.
