Look nifty spot closing.....take near by options...ex.today closed @6203...so our strike is 6200 :)
you can see it here ...http://www.nseindia.com/live_market/dynaContent/live_watch/option_chain/optionKeys.jsp?symbolCode=-10006&symbol=NIFTY&symbol=NIFTY&instrument=OPTIDX&date=-&segmentLink=17&segmentLink=17
and if you are newbie then don't jump into OPTIONS :D

Hey garg,

I have registered in traderji very recently but used to read the forums in read only mode before.

In my View

1.)start with analysing threads which gives strategies . for example this thread by Karthik sri

2.)
Code:
http://stockcharts.com/school/doku.php?id=chart_school:chart_analysis
Learn from above on how to read and analyse.

3.) analyse and backtest manually the strategies.

4.) Do paper trading and refine them as per your trading style

Code:
http://www.nseindia.com/ChartApp/install/charts/mainpage.jsp
www.bazaartrend.com/nsecharts/intraday-free.php?symbol=NIFTY
The above link gives you charts to start with. If you earn some money , invest them in good software like amibroker which will simplify a bit .

Hope this helps. :)
