Today Karnataka Bank made a 52 week high ...

Will this qualify a valid BreakOut

How to Trade this BO ... should one buy now or wait for pullback ..... or avoid it (assuming it a false BO/Bulltrap) ..... ???

I assume you have not read the earlier post of SEBI restrictions.
No Buy/Sell/Hold recommendations.

certified analyst holding SEBI certificate.

So levels,targets,sureshot calls

...80 or 100 % correct calls etc are not allowed now.

Let me make it clear ...

I was not posting nor seeking any Buy/Sell advise or a price target ....

I was initiating a discussion on methodology to trade a BO .... and was seeking advise on whether or not it was a valid BO ..... (Since the title of this thread is "Learning to catch High Probability Breakouts" )

So my initiating a discussion was more of a academic /learning nature.

Keeping in view of the spirit of honorable Moderator's post above .... My post does not violates SEBI's rules.

honorable Moderator has already assured us that genuine members need not panic ..... only the tipster need to worry.

So I am not afraid.

SEBI rules focused more in the forum last two days, i feel, that may not be relevant for us..we are discussing and sharing our views, how the script move in future as in public forum and sharing our knowledge....intentionally we are not posting any levels to any person to take trade...no violation..

Any Breakout analysis will involve indicating entry levels ,stop losses and targets.I think Moderators have to clarify whether this is allowed.

Amit !!

we can discuss setups and target upon these setups no problem at all !!!

It is the tipster or persons who has visted interest should worry !!!

These are words of ST..in his old post !!! don't get panic...:)

That is perfectly fine...learning can be done from model trades...in case of loud thinking the same can be said that these are not actual trades taken.

ST
But these Gut instinct or Just a feeling type of advisors wont be able to post in public forum unless they have SEBI registration and comply with all reporting and inspection provisions.

I agree that learning discussions should be kept out of this regulation. Hope SEBI comes with some clarification, but as the rules stand today we all have to follow these till we get some exumption from SEBI for educational threads posted ( not for recommendations, tips, forecasts ) .

Our approach here is to follow the regulation and not to search for loopholes in the regulations.

This is the latest post

Happy to see that a tips giving company is barred.

We all have to get used to these regulations. But I dont think genuine discussions of set up, method and learning will suffer. Example is we have number of good books which never mention "buy sell levels and targets" but still they are able to aid learning and sharing..
