Learning & Catching the breakouts is two different things.

Execution (Catching) is a challange as we miss the breakouts. It is frustrated to see that how a shortlisted stock has broken out / down & I had missed it due to no alerts etc. All the hard work of identifying the stock is wasted.

Maybe thread title should be changed to 'Learning High Probability Breakouts ' & a separate thread should be opened for 'Catching the breakouts' which will focus only on tools which leads to better execution of trades such as alerts, auto trading etc.

Hi Ethan hunt

Good argument :thumb:. Maybe dear Amitrandive is able to do both of it in the future in this thread.

Beside those tools, surely needed for bigger portfolios, some option strategies already discussed in the forum can be placed when needed to be with the move.

Take care / Dan :)

Ethan and Dan

Thanks for your views.

I have posted my actual trades many times in this thread.I am here in TJ for learning,not to prove anything to anyone.

If you read this entire thread carefully , you will recollect that earlier a portfolio was maintained in Excel,based on these chart readings.

Also I have very less knowledge of options, so sticking with equities.

Recent SEBI ruling prevents us from posting any charts with targets,etc.

Would appreciate positive comments or suggestions for improvement in chart reading.
Let us hope we are all able to maintain the positivity and learning in the thread.

@Amitrandive

I think Ethan hunt was not asking or commenting in the direction of calls, as we all know the rules about SEBI (otherwise it has to be learned the hard way). I guess it was more meant in the dirction of what kind of tools do exist which give an allert on the trading platform or even through a software which can be used on our I-Phones or what so ever. I am not sure if an Excel file will inform me on the I-Phone or platform about any allerts?

Probably dear EH comments best with a post from him self.

Take care / Dan :)
