Problem is visual evidence... How many successful trader do you interact with...? seeing is believing...! when you interact with people who are struggling or have failed as a trader or hangs around forums for fun or
just plain newbies, you tend to believe that relatively you are very knowledgeable than most traders. fact is you wont find successful traders wasting their time on forums trying to prove their worth to anyone. So most of the interaction in such forums is between people battling their self beliefs...! Most of the shining knights in forums are marginal traders who get hero worshiped for accomplishing breakeven status by end of the month...!

My dad used to trade by watching the price scrolling on tv news channel... used to phone and trade...didnt have the advantage of charts...and still managed to live a very good retired life for 15 years solely on that income alone...!

I know a guy who took 30 K to 31 L in 4 months. He is just 29 yrs old and has a office in mumbai where most people wont dream to own a 1 BHK flat.

Another guy i know trades 40 lots single trade and his trade is done within first 45 min. he closes the screen and leaves for his ngo...! Runs the ngo only on that income...!

One 62 yr old uncle scalps nifty like a crazy. scary if u look at the way his hands move on the keypad, he has a one touch keypad for executing his trades. He lives a very simple life and still drives his own car...!

Bottom line is, its possible to make lots of money from this market...! Intraday trading with high leverage gives the opportunity to to everyone...

problem is... opportunity is bigger when its leaving then coming... most people cant be brave when opportunity knocks and when it has left, they end up chasing and messing up...!

bottom line.. please dont lecture me about what possible and whats not...?

This thread has lead most people into believing that 'Adding into a winning positions and increasing rewards' is formula to earn easily.
The question is how many of them will have the patience to stay in the trend without letting their emotions affect them. Most people book small profits with one lot in the fear of giving back to the market. Imagine what would happen if they have 2 adds on the initial position.

Yes same is the case with me.. i trade in stock futures mostly.. i run away with any sign of Profits... But ST da's post has set me thinking..

May be when i hav sufficient trading capital i can add to my winning trade... Right now adding into a stock futures trade will mess my emotions..
