Hi Linkon, i'm posting on this forum after years. I have been using the guppy mma strategy successfully for some time now

The guppy mma is probably the most reliable trend following method I have seen but you will need to take all trades.

I have gone though your post. There are so many thing we take for granted now a days, that you and others who were day trading from 2005 had to really struggle. It really took a lot of determination and love for trading to stick to it at that time.

[B]I use 5 min charts for entry and exit with a guppy MMA template and all trades are taken only in the direction of the main trend indicated by a 30 EMA on the hourly charts. I will not take a trade if the two EMA bunches are clustered together. In case of longs I prefer waiting for the price to move higher and will enter on a pullback only. For shorts it will be the opposite. I may also enter on a NR7 bar breakout in the direction of the main trend since the risk is limited to the height of the NR7 bar. [/B]

The most important thing in daytrading is to [B][U]keep your Reward:risk ratio at a minimum of 2:1[/U][/B] ie. after brokerage and not to add to a losing position. [B]I will go long only if price is above both MMA clusters in the smaller time frame. Trying to buy bounces will only wipe you out. [/B]

I watch a maximum of 4 futures stocks at one time using a multimonitor setup and maybe take two trades on an average in each stock every day. The most important thing in daytrading is to find a good discount broker otherwise commissions will be more than your profits. I do not like taking trades between 11:30 and 1:30 unless the breakout happens on huge volume.

Over the years, i an sure you have refined your method. I and many newbies like me, would be highly grateful if you share your experience here. It will be a huge learning experience for all of us.

SGX nfty is trading flat between 4491-4505.

Roll over is 60% in nifty and 60% in stock futures also.

FII net figure was a small negative. DII figure not very impressive either.

Expiry day. therefore expecting a lot of 2 ways movement.

Spot at 05, we just broke the high,,, system wins again
Judgment loses again…

Seems like 28 is a good reversal…

Praveen Bhai. Broker will anyway earn.. whether we trade or not..
So why to look at this plate...

As long as we are earning after paying all costs, it is extra food our plate. So lets worry about our plate (until unless you are in the game of throwing broker out of the business like some people are talking about reliance money now)..

Rk Global charges way less brokerage. Dont want them to run out of business, hence leaving something on the plate for them always...!
