Dear Traderji

You very kindly wrote an expert for MA cross over for 5ema close and 6 ema open.

Could you please help me to modify this. I'd like this expert to give a buy signal only if 13 ema is above 21 ema and reverse for the sell?

Also, how can i write the stops for this system please? Stops that i'd lke is when the market forms a pivot, then that's where the stop would be.

Formula is =

COC= future price of the underlying/cash price of the underlying* 100.

futureprice of underlying= future price of stock/nifty
cash price of underlying= spot/cash price of stock or nifty

I am not an expert but common sense tells me that you do not Divided the Future price by Spot price at any stage while calculating COC!!!

Just replace the values of 5 and 6 ith 13 and 21 and for that matter any value of your choice!!! Pivots!!! As Saint would put it : They are all visual !!! Avoid using a Pivot Indicator!! Have a visual and put your SL!!

Many thanks for the advice on the stop.

with regards to the expert, I do't want to replace 5 and 6 MA cross over with 13 and 21. The idea is to use 13 and 21 MA as a medium term trend indicator, such that the BUY arrow ( when 5 ma crosses above 6 ma) would only appear IF 13 ma is above 21 ma.

Hi biggles, as I've lately been interested in VSA too I ask you what's the link of that thread you mentioned... I've tried to make a search but no luck.

There are some interesting VSA discussions on traderlaboratory too and there I've found a couple of VSA related formula by a guy nicknamed Anonymous originally written for VT, MetaStock compatible anyway (yet some logic changes are needed to accomodate them in MS language).

not sure if it's allowed to post external links here, if so tell me and I'll post them.
