Dear Mechtrader

I am sorry I don't know about algo trading much but why is average profits per trade is so less? Is it after all deductible charges?

I am not a very technical person in terms of mechanical strategy, so how do I get a strategy made for my trading which in turn could be used to automated at later stage?

Can you please suggest some books on that also?

Hi all,

Next expiry, as you all know, the lot sizes have increased. So have to sit down whole night and figure out what could and should be done.
==> Will think of trading in counters with cmp >50.
==> will try to half the trades in the strategies by adjusting them.
==> will keep rest all simple. Lets c how it goes.

Good luck to all.

Cheers

come on u should be that one guy who welcomes lot size increase
Lot size increase 3x Profit 3x and slippage stays the same
Just pump in more money :D:D

Good work MT. Congrats

Couple of questions

1. Your no of trades increases a lot you said trading in 30 scripts one trade/day/scrip.In some days you have more trades than that?
2. You are risking 1/2% per trade than @ 35 trades open @ time you are exposing/risking 35-70% per day is that correct. Are you doing long/short combination or all individual directional trades?
3. Why zerodha??

Thanks

Sorry for the late reply guys.

First of all its not algo trading as people understand it. I prefer saying it as automated trading strategies. I trade the 10 min tf.

Yes average profit per trade was less this month because the number of trades went up. This profit is after all costs.

U need to start from the basics, I didnt read any book but I researched the internet extensively for years. You can start following good traders such as kevin davey, david varidi, jeff swanson, quantopian, oddmund, quantocracy. ( u can google all this)

All the best.

1. I have 3 strategies running simultaneously. So it is one trade/day/scrip/strategy.
2. 1-2% is not of my capital. Its 1-2% from the entry price.
3. Coz i could get my brokerage back.:lol:

Hi MT,

Hope all is well at your end. Have to moved to Zerodha from Composite Edge? Zerodha told me that they do not support Symphony platform? do they support it?

Also zerodha has very less margins for futures so it is also what helps.
Mechtrader bhai does the symphony presto feed bracket orders to zerodha nest terminals.
Since symphony sells the bracket orders package separate from other strategies, so can you confirm.
