25/02/11 Low 168.30 and I had my SL 168.05 and it was hit. Cool!

Secondly ca you pl tell me how to draw this MACD in metastock? I tried to Pull MACD indicator on a new wondow & choose Histogram as Style. but it is not showing what you are publishing in charts. Any Different setting? I think i am making some mistake somewhere. Can u pl help?

I tried putting the Metastock MACD on my charts when i read yr query, and yer right, i dont see them as Babu plots them. I guess yr query was not that you cant plot them, but that they dont turn out like those on Babu's charts.

They seem a bit bland on Metastock, with only one histogram and one line. Prolly better to head for the metastock specific link provided by babu. I dont use it myself so havnt explored it further, tho i didnt see much on its settings either.

But pls dont take this to mean "thats how it is" on metastock, i dont use the indicator, so its better to get it fm someone who does.

thanks for the useful info and tips..
i have a newbie query regd tech analysis.
since macd is lagging indicator, are we justified in even having it as an additional indicator, along with rsi, stochs and others.. ?
am currently using RSI, Stochs, cci and EMA to make trading decisions.

Sorry for the confusion!

18th Low 168.30 (now chartnexus shows that as 168.80). So, I placed my SL below the 18th Low.

On the 25th, Low & Close was 167.80 and my SL hit on that day. Hope this clarifies your query!

Hi prst,
I might sound naive; but, I've admit that I want to keep things as simple as possible and want to stick to the ones with which I'm comfortable. So, I don't think anything beyond divergences in these indicators just because I can't comprehend any thing further than the divergences.
So, my answer might not help you at all. Sorry about that!
