My charts (and yours too........)

I am not using any s/w ,, i will search to get it,, Vijay may be having some s/w,,
I'll try to make one, i've got my own swing-detection algorithm [Credit to a friend of mine too, her computer and brain, both are much faster than mine.] Am sure its easily programmable with swing size etc requirements fed in. Looks like an interesting concept @ wolf wave, will try to read on the Elliott basis also, if any.

Interestingly RECLTD is also what i call a 3-3 setup. Price confined in three tops and three bottoms. Often takes the form of a 3-4-3 setup.

Last body is an Equishadow(emperically coined) where the shadow ratios are less than 1.7 [longer / shorter shadow] tho slightly longer than what would comfort, it doesnt look bad.

Hi..

The Daily chart of CIPLA shows Evening Star pattern.. Will Candlestick patterns fail..? Because, in the same chart we have a failed Eve star pattern.. Is it a valid pattern or Is there any mistake in my observation..?

I'm asking this cos, I'm new to Candlesticks and this is my first Chart here in TJ..:)

Thank You.

well...one cannot take decisions solely on the basis of candlestick patterns!

the first one encircled by you is not really an evening star as the real body is a li'l longer than one required for evng star! Moreover, you can see the stock has taken support at the trend line after a couple of bars!

The second one looks more significant as an evening star & the current bar is near the trend line support! the next candle wud b important! If it breaks the trend line, then coupled with the evng star pattern...we can expect some down side!!:thumb:

Cheers!

Congrats on your first post and my best wishes for you to post many more!
The candlestick patterns need to be looked into how it/they fit in the broader picture instead of in an isolation.
For eg., Evening star is a bearish pattern; it's more credible if formed near a previous Resistance level (may be a previous swing High, EMAs like 200 or 100, etc.,) may confirm the validity of the pattern. Volume is also important.
Coming back to your chart, the recent pattern seems to form at the resistance level of previous swing High. If you look at the broader picture, it also looks like a bullish ascending triangle. So, it's a watch and wait for either move - up or down.
Just my 2 cents
Cheers!
