thanks amit for ur work.
i hv just started investing in the stock market so dont know much, but i happened to download a software Stock Quote Retriever as i was looking for some site which gvs me news and stock quotes and other benefits. in this software it it has some NSE n BSE stocks in the portfolio and it gvs u the quotes as well as there symbols (as in yahoo).It also gvs the opion of putting my own investments n tracking them i can make my own portfolio in it.I hvent tried all the features in it but it seems useful ill just add the link if u would like to check it.

First of all I give my sincere "Thanks" to excel sheet maker, Amit, I guess as its morning and have to leave for office so couln't go to check but again can't stop to write right now.

Point- Roughtly I saw the sheet and it is very useful even now. Mind it was posted in 2005, and for those guys who gets their utilities tested here free and then sell to tester, the excel file is still there after 6 years.

One interesting reply I spotted, some Richard wanted to invest in India and want to open School for poor etc etc.

A very BIGGGG LAUGH. He got the whole idea and must have made utility and sold.

Will, check all replies and revert back. Till I suggest everyone to read the whole theread.

Continuing my oppose to "Marketing in this fourm".
