If i am creating a portfolio and i want to include both equities and commodities in my portfolio. How do i approach the whole investment idea???

Should i use commodities only to hedge my equity position or approach commodity as an another investment avenue and consider the risk of investing in commodities in comparison with equity futures

Please throw some light with the perspective of correlation between equity and commodities.

But now again not able to access that, it says that data available from Jan 2011.
Is it once in a while issue or the data will not be available any further.

Bro...I am just a day trader and trade actively on nifty index and options only. silver was just a time pass activity for me and i dont follow any commodities.

Sorry, but i dont track metals. A good idea would be to follow some forex forums where they trade commodities actively.
