We take the help of the nearest parameter to determine the strength and weakness of the underlying. These LVB/PDC/36EMA... may be looked upon as supports and resistances. Some of these like LVB/PDC/LVB are fixed S and R whereas the EMA's are dynamic S an R (as they are not constant in value and keep going up or down).

One thing i want to compliment about a few people on this thread is their dedication. Be it Money B ji, Arjun ji and most of all NT ji. (I remember he stayed up all night just to analyse the effect of OBV across a hundred charts). These are the apparent ones but i am sure there might be a lot more chuppe rustams too.

Look how well and early the OBV was able to call the top in Nifty (look at the divergence) and see The VKSL give a short at around 10100 which is still continuing.

So how would have one traded this. Well on seeing the divergence in 15min.charts one could have gone short on seeing wekness in 5min. charts (Price going below 200EMA).

Oh...i generally wait till price goes below previous pivot low in 500t chat on which the divergence is spoted...my sl becomes big... thanks

I have marked the verical line from the 15min.charts in the 5min. charts. After this point when price went below 200EMA one could have initiated positional shorts with a stop above the highs before that.

Remember sometime back i had said that the monthly trend is decided within the 1st 2/3 days after the last expiry. Well as you can see it was bang on for last month as well as this month.
