I brought 1350 shares of Tata chemicals (on my brokers recomendation) @205.25 and 2400 shares of escorts @101, when sensex was @8700 levels. Have you seen the levels today? Was forced to sell tata chem @194. Escorts I came out of it @84 today since everyone is saying it may comedown further and I am thinking of re-entering it at some further low level. So pl.feel little good there are people like you who are suffering more losses emotionely, financialy. But tell you onething when I booked this heavy- loss in escorts today strangely, surpricingly I was relaxed, because Now I knew my loss. Than blindfolded for next trading day in further anticipation and anguish.Now I may re-enter it on a decline or I may enter someother stock which is strong, now decision is mine not the markets. Yes it hurts, to learn this I have lost so much money, which I may or may not earn. But for now I have to accept it, no other way. So take courage listing to fools story like mine
People do need bad examples like mine how not to trade, or perhaps I am thinking of opening a thread "how to vanish your capital in a few trades" any takers??? perhaps sponsorers

Ouch on the Escorts.........thought you were out a long time back!
Don't worry.........treat this as tuition money that we with all gratitude pay to the market for teaching us lessons in how to handle the market.
And as for the broker's recommendations............A broker is he who passes your orders on,is sort of a middleman between the market and you.He is not the brain behind the trade,you are........the day you make him the brains behind the trade,then the broker becomes he who makes you broke,broker,brokest (although such words dont exist!)in minimum time with maximum efficicency.
So that's a lesson learnt...........so far you are doing great,Usha on the path to Trading Mastery,although you may not exactly feel like it right now.......but you're coming along just fine.
