Hi every one,
I'm impressed by good chart by senior member (saint) it will help for beginner like me. i would like to learn the reading of charts. your guidence will be welcome.

Hi Amby,

Welcome to Traderji forum and our little family where we all try our best to help each other out.Great place if you want to learn.Many threads with a lot of substance.So make sure you go through all the old posts and threads.Don't miss out on all that wisdom.

To learn reading of charts,hmmmm..............can't really remember how I started myself.First get the charts,get the data,educate yourself on the basics of TA thru books or seminars(quite a lot of substance in the TA section at Traderji as well),and then practice mock trading.

Take step no 1,and miraculously you would take step no 2,and so on so forth.Once you have set up your charts,you'd want to know what MA to put on it,then about Stochs,and volume..................the learning just goes on and on.

Important thing is to take that Step No 1,and never stop learning........wishing you all the best!

Could you refer any good website to refer to charts.
I used to go to hdfc but these days i not able to see charts there, may be some applet problem.
Tried at sharekhan and icicidirect but not happy with the charts there.

Please ask Karthik or Murthy......they would be of greater help to you.I personally use Metastk ,but don't know much about which is better,or at lesser cost,etc.

Mcleod Russel took out its previous resistance of 65,was sideways from mid october trading around 59....good Volume is also coming in....How do we trade this?Wait for todays Close?

Yep,my friend.........no positions in this one yet.We need this one to go above 65,it has ,in a super move today.What we need now is a close above 65.Enter tomorrow over today's high or enter on a pullback that usually results after such a big move.

Hi Vizzie,

KEI INDS :Agree with you totally.........looking good!Weekly charts just about making its move.Nice volume coming in.That wide range breakout bar on the 31st of Oct never got negated with all subsequent trading in the coming weeks staying in the top half of that bar.ADX had indicated a buy a few days back as well.Overall,looking good.

Buy with a stop loss of 187 and share size accordingly.Trail stop upwards and get the max as possible.

Nice move in KEI Inds.........We're up 20% so far.Raise the stop loss to 215(which is just above breakeven).Ride the trend and enjoy the ride.

Hi Gandharvashu,

For the intermediate trend,the only thing I am looking at is the weekly charts and pivots,with some help from TRIX,RSI and Stochs and Volume.

Basically,I play pivots again and again and again....and not to forget patterns.Basically all analysis at the end of the day in every chart is the pivot analysis and pattern analysis.........not sure if I have sufficiently answered your doubt.

Shall give a more in depth reply later.
