Here the FIIs exit causes the fall.. i.e. the exit precedes the fall. I guess the same holds true for other emerging markets.

Now, SMbhai, with you, does closing one trade mean opening up another immediately? I guess not. Same with the institutions I suppose. Just because they exit one market (or, more likely, one segment of one market) does not mean that they have to utilize the money immediately elsewhere. Being "in the money" is a position too, as mentioned in this forum in many places.

So how come the world markets don't see-saw? With one market going down while the other one goes up ?? There are times when all the world markets are moving in the same direction..

Whether our markets are in long term bullish phase or bearish is one's own opinion..

Here your assumption is that money has to go into some market. It could also go into bonds, currencies or whatever is safest.

Lot of mis understanding with this news. Some 4-5 days back the person withdraw the apllication when judge asked him under which rule court should issue such an order. (Lower courts can not issue such an order). The applicant himself is a lawyer. Today it rejected that application since it was not in the power of lower court to issue such an order for investigation.
Similarly News regarding Tata and Ambani by CBI.
CBI can give its opinion whether case should be closed or not . The power rests with the Court. If you Google you will find number of cases where court did not agree with the opinion of CBI.Some of the cases were quattarachi, Arushi Murder case, and the latest one is Bhopal Union Carbide case.
The fact is that with such type of requests courts pulls up CBI but they are shameless.
Since night seeing the Dow fall Goct is bent upon to create some possitive news today to prevent drastic fall in nifty and by hook or crook they succeeded.
Question is how long.
More over you might have observed on Nifty weekly that right shoulder is in progress and for a drastic fall still some time is there. No doubt 15 month old support line has to break for a nice fall.
Till that time let us take money both ways.
Up or down, Money should be coming in account.

Almost a 100 pts upmove and all say its a retracement.
Today a 40 pointer downmove and all say the Great Fall is coming to visit us

True BUT for now - seems we are delinked. What abt when the S&P moved up & up BUT we in the opposite direction.

Its just some c*annels which bring about this correlation etc etc.
