Fine! But here's something for you when you wake up.

Al Green sang it in 1972, but it was never a hit for him. The song was on the album after his big hit, "Let's Stay Together", which was actually released in 1971 and carried over into 1972.
Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees wrote the song in 1970, the song was released in May or June 1971, and hit the top 40 in the first week of July by the Bee Gees. I remember that because I did not like the song at the time. It hit the top 40 on the week of my 15th birthday. It eventually made it to #1, and was #5 for the year.

I cheated on finding out about Al Green. I had to look it up, and then I had to play it.

Are you serious!?!? My all-time favorite song with lyrics by Johnny Nash. At least 10 others sang it after him. Ahh, yes. I have all the versions:
