we donot know where the market will move,if v use trailing stop loss,u will get out of ur position and market may go down to new lows then u will miss big opportunity.so one should use reversal points for entry/exit and choose revesal pt carefully oterwise v may help only broker not us.viod ji u also clarify this. What should be the stoploss is a subjective and very confusing matter. Short short loss most of the time taken out very easily considering the volatility of the market. Stoploss is system specific, in Vinod's case he has been using 100+ points always and has shown that still you end up with profits!. So if you are following his method you must follow the stop loss. I know its tempting to come out especially when you have huge profits. But that is the way system works. Let the system generate the profit (Remember the title 'Mechanical...'.

Just a suggestion to Vinod, is there any way to implement stepped stoploss, such as exit 25% at say 25% of the stop loss. But then re-entry has also to be planned and all gets messy.
