Yes, I have tied Breakout SL to the EMA of ATR connected it with the prevailing volatility... just a gimmick really.

Amit, Please dont mind my meddling in your trades ! , I do not see a Pivot in 5 min Chart at 6062.60 ! What time candle is this 5 min. Pivot? Because if you are talking about 14:05 candle then it was formed after you hit your SL ? So it wasnt there when you were in trade. Do share, what SL would you take if you considered it as another leg down?

Quite rightly. 6071.00 would be the initial Stop. And since it feels wide... bringing it down to 6062.60 some minutes later would be right.

Please feel 100% at liberty to ask about any trade on my thread. I trust your inquisitiveness will only improve my/our trading.

I wish you too had a NF intraday thread so that we could compare notes, given that we trade the same Time Frame. In that way we could retain the better concepts from our threads.

Had taken 3 lots...
So, will book profit on one lot... and will keep two.

I see a triangle breakout.

Loss for the day m2m cleared. This sideways day could not do any damage, in that I take pride. Holding 2 lots for tomorrow since the HTF trend is up.

Hmm.. SGX is trading 70 points up... near 6150... in that case will get out of my today's longs at tomorrows gap up...

Considering the status of the sold 6000 CE at 167;

SO effectively the decision will start becoming wrong after spot crosses 6167... and threatens to close over it. Then too, I won't have to shed any cash from my pocket but would have been better if I hadn't sold it.
