Yep, agreed with you. Anything can happen, China had 70% correction (now 65%). See something interesting in Defty....we broke the trendline on EOD chart.

Nifty is trading in the brown lines range now...and any breach above and below the trend is important...as for now we can see a major support at 3200 and if this is breached the next halt would be 2650 only......

Viewing graph for different TIME FRAMES is very important for catching the TREND.Same graph of 8th OCT for FOUR time frames is presented below.As the time interval is increased RSI is getting flattened as the number of samples is reduced as we go to higher sampling interval.I think 3min or 5min sample interval, is best to capture the FINER details but for getting TREND even higher sample interval is sufficient.Anyway it depends on individual choice.

thats why when it comes to my unborn baby i avoid indicators and go for fundamentals of investing

2595 may be achieved if 3550-3650 doesnt hold this month but when is the question . After this kind of downmove markets usually consolidate for some time before falling like a rock again . This is panic selling around world market and though we may not see a v shaped recovery , we might well see a consolidation phase which could attimes panic the bears in to buying back their winning positions . Markets do surprise us always both in bull and bear phases...

DilipKumar - One thing is for sure, Indian markets are not mature enough & highly manipulative to Consolidate & even if they consolidate the range will be too big for traders like us to call it consolidation...
