czar ,true prices first indicators derived from prices later, but its true for whom who differentiate prices with price indicators, flip side of coin is price indicators ( like macd )are smoothing effect of prices isnt it ? and why is the need of smoothing the prices ? to avoid whipsaws!
Bottoms and tops for God , whatever in between is for me.. so why i said IMHO

the lowest RSI weekly in the post 2000 era was in sept 2001 at 24.55, present rsi weekly is 25.75...

I saw the post, I was talking about RSI on DAILY data but not on WEEKLY data PLUS the time frame which I took was of last few months.(Of course ,the number of daily samples over years is toooooooo big)

The Bear market will keep oscillating between the TL till a final bottom is made, only after which will come the prolonged consolidation... & that too will be a big range so good enough for us guys to play in... see the difference between us & the other markets is they are atleast 3 months ahead of us in this bear So quite possibly our bottom will come around jan 09, if you see the charts (weekly) the dow etc have made a 5 wave downside already whereas we have still made 3 only...

in above chart except adx , something has to turn upward, all darn chart appear to be in love with miss Gravity!
IMHO we will start seeing bullish indicators after consolidation,one fallen from 10 th floor cant shake off and run up the stairs !

Yap sir, you are right big range bound moves when we consolidating, as posted in other thread about hist. volatility compare to other nations, we are among leaders. thank fully we r traders and market is so kind which gives something to trade with , when we say consolidation then daily 3% moves are part of it.

I edited that post & added something more, need yours / Satda's view & whoever else who follows waves (elliot or otherwise) ... as compared to the Dow waves

& like I said 2 more swings after this & the last one will break the lower TL & collapse like how we broke up the upper TL in Sept 07, this time on the downside same... , which in return will give us a +ve diver in RSI, etc IMHO
