Satyajit dear, Suzlon fundamentally broke also its well below 100% fib retrace, NOT a buy till dust settle.

Nifty 2600 levels (lows of 2006 crash) may not hold :( , waiting for Obama magic rally on Nov 4 otherwise...2100 (approx 78.6% fib level of last bull market on semi-log scale)

phew!

I have taken some Suzlon today at 56.20 with stop loss 55.50 on the faith of Elliot. If stop triggers, I shall not take this stock in my portfolio. Not concerning about fundamental, this is a technical buy.

As there is shotage of previous data, Line baba cannot say the support.

Can anyone tell me If short selling is banned, would it be so for FII'S or retail too ? :D
The controversy regarding ban on short selling relates to FII who are allowed to borrow the shares and short in the cash segment and they do not have to close the position intraday. For retail the shorts in the cash segment have to be closed on the same day.

Now coming to futures, a ban on short selling means closing the F&O market, as one can go long only if somebody else is short.

i dont think they will ban nifty shorting...probably index specific like realty or banking or metals...in u.s only financials were banned....
then i guess options volume will increase...
