MORAL OF STORY:
Never Ignore Truth and Facts and do not try to poke nose in Satda's Movie Nifty 6000 to 600 by saying nifty has support here or there , Many support teared away today remaining will be teared in few more days .

The word "Support" is ban now in this thread if somebody will type support
than ****** will appear
Satda I am enjoying making of your Movie every day
Many of us will try now as s u p p o r t (remove the spaces).

Now what kind of a rule is 3rd one that after 2 pm no break:eek:

Can anyone tell me their positional trades on this positional thread:D
Please understand that circuits are there not to stop loss investors but they are against intensive and sudden movement (which explains similar circuits on the upside too), so same fall in small duration will imply more intensity and hence greater circuit breaker and on reverse side a 10% fall in whole day is not deemed to be fine enough to activate any circuit, whereas 10% before 2 PM itself does. :)

A tribute to stock mkts:D

One man to an old man

Man : Babuji ghar kaisa chal raha hai aur bete kaise hain aapke.

Babuji : Sab kuch theek chal raha hai ek beta equity analyst hai , dusra F&O trader hai aur teesra beta PAANWALA hai jo akele ghar chalaata hai.

It seems the poor holders of unitech and suzlon will become Paanwalas soon:D

Why is there No circuit filter this time , we were down 10% , dont we stop trading these days on 10% fall.
Could not understand why has not stopped trading. Is the rule changed ?
I think its 10% b4 2:30 then halt & 15% then close but after 2:30 10% not valid... that's the reason why this is the 2nd time this year when 10% was salvaged just & then after 2:30 it was hit...

soon new rule coming if market falls more than 25% in 1 month then next month market closed :D

I do think that if other world mkts are to survive this stupid Dow fut thing should be stopped. We fall 12% but yest dow rallied 2% , we fell 12% because dow fut in deep red.

These americans want to win in the matter of stock mkts also , other mkts will become 0 and their would be still at 2000-2500 , keep fut way down and then recover in spot ,

I had given the link regarding the ckt breakers few posts back.. Here is the text from NSE regarding the Circuit Breakers:

Index-based Market-wide Circuit Breakers
The index-based market-wide circuit breaker system applies at 3 stages of the index movement, either way viz. at 10%, 15% and 20%. These circuit breakers when triggered, bring about a coordinated trading halt in all equity and equity derivative markets nationwide. The market-wide circuit breakers are triggered by movement of either the BSE Sensex or the NSE S&P CNX Nifty, whichever is breached earlier.

In case of a 10% movement of either of these indices, there would be a one-hour market halt if the movement takes place before 1:00 p.m. In case the movement takes place at or after 1:00 p.m. but before 2:30 p.m. there would be trading halt for hour. In case movement takes place at or after 2:30 p.m. there will be no trading halt at the 10% level and market shall continue trading.

In case of a 15% movement of either index, there shall be a two-hour halt if the movement takes place before 1 p.m. If the 15% trigger is reached on or after 1:00p.m. but before 2:00 p.m., there shall be a one-hour halt. If the 15% trigger is reached on or after 2:00 p.m. the trading shall halt for remainder of the day.

In case of a 20% movement of the index, trading shall be halted for the remainder of the day.
These percentages are translated into absolute points of index variations on a quarterly basis. At the end of each quarter, these absolute points of index variations are revised for the applicability for the next quarter. The absolute points are calculated based on closing level of index on the last day of the trading in a quarter and rounded off to the nearest 10 points in case of S&P CNX Nifty.

The closing level of spot on 30th Sept was 3932. So 10% of this translates to 390 points. After 2.30 the filter applicable is 15%.
