As now we have quite well demostrated that One can earn & trade in Nifty Fut on Intraday basis, hence the purpose of this thread is over.
Now it has become more of posting where we Bought or Sold.
Though i 100 % appreciate that when that is done on Live Mkt (with 1-2 min Lag),it is very difficult & all the Halo of Gr8 Technical Analyst gets shattered ,becoz they are Class Room guys & we live by Demonstration.

Apart from this after deep intospection ,how this thread is Helping a newbie, absolutely nothing except may be our popularity ,hence this thread is useless.

On the contrary, there is no real need to close down the thread, Ashish.
I would not close it. An inquisitive and searching new comer will find lots there to learn from.
Move on to other things and different ways of doing things by all means, but let this thread be.

I too have abandoned my two threads, both of whom were my anchors at Traderji for an extended period. Both were widely read and popular, if popularity is such a significant factor, and I had given them more time than I have given to anyone or anything else.

Then, time came to move on. The function of those threads became obsolete internally for me. I had shared fully what I had learnt, and attempted to assist and teach others who asked. I needed to move on to other things.
As my ship sailed out of the harbor, those threads became distant horizons accompanied by all the pangs and uncertainties that departure causes, and those threads have now become what a picture album is to its subject: A casual look in on the way one has changed over the years, with no obligations to learn lifes lessons from it.

As we are of the markets, we can but only be the classroom boys of it, barring none, whether we choose to demonstrate are lessons or not.
At some point we become teachers and share what we know.
Finally, we become leaders, not entirely by sharing our victories, but by sharing our losses, mistakes, and struggles.
The only thing is, whether we teach or lead, we remain students always.
More humble and unassuming the student, the greater and superior the leader.

I would appeal to Traderji to not accept your request for closing this thread.
After all, this is an archive of your wins and losses and will continue to benefit all.

fully agree , even i dont understand why there is a need to close this thread when 200 other junk threads exists in traderji which doesnt help neither a newbie nor a person who trades for a living like all of us. Asishji , just think again before closing this thread..

This thread was started on 20th Jan '08 which was the begining of Down ward journey of the 4th Wave ,in weekly chart. At that time my thinking was that every thing of Portfolio is to be Liquidated & we have to fall back on 100 % Intraday.Hence this Thread was started & ONLY with full participation of Saint , Ashish ,Azax etc.became a good place for interacting our views on Nifty Fut.
That phase is nearing End,we may again start building Portfolio & may not depend only on Intraday earnings.
There is a definite change of Trend & Sentiment in the Mkt.A downtrend is on progress.Once again the
need of the hour is to determine the faith of the Long term Trend. All studies are absolutely Subjective.
Nifty Fut is going to scale 7300 in months to come, prior to reaching that the down side is
much more to come from present level. There be no ambiguity in this that we may see 400 to 500 points
down side from here.
All Up or Down is basically in Wave type nature, there is no straight Up or Down, hence any 100-200 points
Rally should not deceive us that the down side is halted, until we get definite indication ,presently the
major trend is Down.
These observations are extremely subjective in nature & many a time these observations are found to be
wrong in the past.
It may be noted that we are in 4th Down Wave, where the minor waves are unfolding.

Present levels to watch:=

5686.20 was the earlier support.
5830.95 is now the Resistance area.
5762.44 (on closing basis) is the Critical balance Price.
This is what i have posted to Traderji today morning.

Dear Sir,

Personally feel this thread has run it's course & the purpose is served.Kindly close this thread.

Asish
I am anticipating that the correction phase is going to end soon, after that in the bottoming phase ,all of us can identify that.

With due respect Sir,

This thread was started on 20th january 2008 i.e. the beginning of the 4th wave. Asiding other purposes of this thread, the same should not close before end of 4th wave. It is very nice that, a new thread at the begining of the 5th wave is being started.

I personally think that 4th wave has not been completed yesterday. So it is too early to close this thread and starting a new thread.

I may be wrong in calculation, that I am assuming the 4th wave will be continued. It will be great pleasure, if u kindly highlight my mistake in calculation.

Regards.

Satyajit

Amitbee,

Yes you are right that ALL of us are Student's of Mkt.In my initial days at Traderji there where many stalwarts like you,in some extent, who have helped us develop.
There is less number of Intraday LIVE thread not only in the past but still now. With active participation of Saint/Ashish/Ajaz/others in the past this thread has come to this level.
Intraday trading thread is more needed, but those should be more on Technical/Level based than Bought here Sold here stuff, hence want to upgrade to that stage.
I have full faith & confidence on the PRESENT active participants like Sunil/Czar et-all,that now is our time to upgrade from this thread.
No thread is destroyed in Traderji ,just few weeks ago personally gone through your past Thread.
Even one of my past Thread of 'Nifty 5000' ,which was started in 7th March 2007 (http://www.traderji.com/equities/11838-time-stick-my-neck-out-nifty-5000-a.html) when like now we where at doomsday ambience @ 3600 level is still there.

I am greatly relieved at your understanding of the issues discussed.

Thank you Ashish, for the introspection and the decision.

On a lighter note, with regard to the way you've written my name above, allow me to bring up a couple of posts from one of my threads...just for a laugh...and no lessons, promise :) :

Amit, just curious.
Your id is AMIT BE, so I thought you were engineer. But today I am forced to think, you have got a masters degree in English.
Which one is correct?

Hi Dinker...I'm afraid neither is correct.
My surname begins with a 'B'.
Now, to BE or not to BE has always been the eternal question, even before the celebrated Bard made a philosophical cliche out of it.

'Bee' would have been another option, but then life just carries on not because of sweet honey, but despite all the stings.

It made better sense to just BE so I went with AMITBE. :)
