If one follows Sensex, the 50 day EMA for Sensex was around 10195 yesterday...and today we came close to it today but as expected fell straight through....now its time to test the supports.....but i just feel that we have more downside potential than upside...

20DMA is more important...
50DMA alone is not that key MA, but its crossover with 20DMA is considered as a good signal...

i would rephrase the second part and say (like in yest post), the upside is capped
PERIOD

extent of downside will depend on reaction at lower levels...

carnivorous dinosaur or bulls' trap today...
:)

expecting our GIRAFFE to turn "hungry" tomorrow at around 2850 levels (if it comes)
Btw .. i remember some time back all of you shared your experience/ some market trends that you observed like tuesday being a trend reversal day .. and some more (although which wernt meant for positional trading just for sharing ..)

I too have observed that Whenever we Our giraffe drinking water or eating the grass from the tree... it tends to do the opposite in the next 2-3 days ..:D
Seems Its going right for now ... hehe

this is an excel file for those newcomers/persons who have no idea how to read charts and use technicals...
something like a mechanical trading system by Vinod Nadoda ji.

I had made this when I was a newcomer myself, and the ONLY trading-tool & friend i knew was CLASSICAL PIVOTS (floor-trading pivots)...
(new2sm is my proof to this, right since my initial trading days & TJ days)

I happen to like it maybe because it involved simple mathematics, and it was my fav subject since 15 years of my life (half of my life)...

here's the link

Go thru it, if you want...
I'll add my views on this over weekend
Making a humble attempt in positional trading, which requires NO chartical / technical knowledge at all...
Meant to give an overall directional clue, which may be used as a supplement to one's existing positional trading method

TL is very subjective...
those who are bullish will draw & see bullish TLs & patterns
and vice versa...
it takes years of experience to present an unbiased picture like our Satyajit does with so much dedication....

i believe & trade only as per horizontal TL (ie specific levels), and I would like to see tomorrow's movement & closing
as per the combi of the 3 methods in the new thread, one should be out of longs as of now, and be neutral & wait-n-watch.

RSI & other indicators demanded cooling of nifty upmoves, and it got that...
now, tomorrow's further price action is to be awaited
