Well for the following reasons...
1. Nifty unable to cross the earlier pivot of 4970 till now even after a gap up opening.
2. Yesterday there was profit booking suggesting lack of Long conviction at higher levels.
3. I believe there would be a correction after 2 consecutive up moves (tough i may be wrong over here).
4. Non techical reason that there is a 3 day weekend so traders might be cautious to take long positons.

but if 4971 is taken then i would go long in the market with proper SL given at tht point in time

Thanx for the input. However your point no. 1 ,u wuldnt know this at the timeof your post.
Overall your reasons seem to be clear though i was in my mind expecting some more TA based reasons.

There are all kinds of traders.....no harm in being contra-trend ......but there just is too much of profits to be made during the trend to let it pass.
