When the daily balance shows -ve numbers, at times its hard to look at it that way but A day should be considered a success if rules were followed.

A good trade may or may not be profitable.A bad trade may or may not be unprofitable.Focus the efforts on putting in the good trades.........all else will follow.

I think when to calculate p/l, one should take the cost per trade also....
