What is the time period of RSI u r using? and periodicity of chart??

Dont get this Wrong notion that RSI is always usefull in Intraday trading.
Kindly go through the Maths behind RSI & try to visualize what this particular tool is going to give & what it cant give.
I will try to post after Mkt Hours,where i have found RSI to be usefull.

sunil, this time it shud break for sure. they are ofcourse not doing it now. but eod tak hona chahiye. suspense. dhire dhire halal karahe hai.

Chidu yest. on TV was saying "I have seen inflation numbers(but wont disclose now), and they are very encouraging". dekhliya....indeed encouraging....for shorting ;-)

No yaar clearly remember he was talking abt growth numbers and I believe it incl. inflation coz the interview was with reg. worry abt double digit inflation. neways as we talk, June lows broken?

Trading on News is mostly done by Scalpers.In certain instruments traders use News to trade ,say monson forcast in commodity,Interest / CRR in Bond Mkt.
In Equity when the undercurrent is Bullish any (-)ve News get factored in & vice versa for Bearish sentiment.Many a time one gets FOOLED by trading on News.
A chart always says in Advance what it is going to do ,it is our inability to understand the chart,what Smart Money is doing.

Any 'Khabber' in Broker's place is better to ignore,becoz of one Simple Logic,nobody on Earth can initiate a Buy or Sell without getting reflected in Bhav Copy of the exchange.
People who are trading even on prior Inside Info has to either Buy or Sell,hence chart is the ONLY barometer which is dependable.
A one off Windfall Profit based on News is a pitfall to Suck us in.
My subjective view.

Asish, you are right abt RSI... i just refer to it when i want to take a position around a particular support / resistance level (as the case may be)

June lows are 4332 on Fut and 4369 on Nifty

Much below 4360(spot) unlikely for the day
