Re: Time to Stick my Neck Out ,Nifty 7300

One observation i have made of Nifty (i have readings from Nov 2007)

We have had a maximum of FIVE days of consecutive negative closings
Six consecutive days of negative closings has happened only once during the Jan 08 bloodbath.

Today is the SIXTH DAY....
if today it closes in negative, WILL TOMORROW BE A POSITIVE CLOSING (given an imminent/timely due dead cat bounce/technical relief rally from today's lows)....
Only time will tell....

BTW, tomorrow is the derivatives expiry day, today is UPA-Left meet and tonite is the US FED meet.

Re: Time to Stick my Neck Out ,Nifty 7300

is there any site where in i can check the live rates of nifty futures other than nseindia, rediff and stuffs like that..

Everything is blocked in my office...

and one more thing India bulls is suggesting market at 3800 as bottom. your views on that..

will watch the market for first few hours... i suppose going short again will be a good option again....

Re: Time to Stick my Neck Out ,Nifty 7300

one more observation...

In the last six years, since Oct 2002, Sensex & Nifty have NEVER gone below their 52 week low even on intraday basis...

52 week low as of today:
Sensex: 13779
Nifty: 4002

Intraday Low of yesterday:
Sensex: 13991
Nifty: 4156

If today this happens, this will really be a body blow to long term bull market...

Let's see...

PS: yesterday, most of the sectoral indices had already breached their 52 week lows...

YES.But the converse is not TRUE. Last year ,during BULL phase ,on many occasions market rose CONSECUTIVELY for more than 6 days.
