Hi columbus, .by heat map we can see which are in red/ green etc...but how these NP calculated....what is their significance..:confused:

Total of the last column (NP) if given, will indicate the overall market direction & strength.

Thanks for the very concept, which may be basic, but statistically very informative.

Hi Ravi,

In calculating NP ,due weightage of the stock in Nifty is taken, hence
a 5Rs rise in TATASTEEL is lesser than 5Rs rise in Reliance.

Hi murthy,

Rightly said, basic but informative.If total of last column is plotted ,it mimics
NIFTY.Good for intraday trader.

Some more thoughts:
First row totals : How 'bad' are the 'bad' stocks.
Last row total : How 'good' are the 'good' stocks.
Sum of the 2,3,4 row totals : Response of the neutral stocks to the good and the bad performers.
