Add the total premium collected to the Call strike Price and deduct if from the put strike price.

Dear MT, Replying for Linkon. It is a SHORT STRANGLE with both put & call are in ITM (In The Money). Generally done in OTM. Linkon may have specific reason (end of month) for doing it ITM. Higher BEP is lower strike(4800) plus Total premium collected (130) & Lower BEP is Higher strike (4900) minus T. Prem (130). We r safe between 4930 & 4770. Mean we incur loss if price goes above 4930 & below 4770. Linkon plz further elaborate it & correct me if iam wrong....SLM uncle

Hrly charts show bullishness, last pivot high is 4927 and is higher than the previous High of 4848. We closed trade on roughly similar levels of 4845. Now further bullishness is above 4927.

Today global cues are positive, crude is trading above 80$. China is not participating in this up move and thats a bit of a worry since we are clubbled with them always...

4915 is today's trend decider.

Wait for the first 5 min and if the low of the day is not broken, take a long.

4900 has only 7-8 point...

normally expiry days... has 40 points for grabbing by this strategy...today only 8 points... not worth the trouble..

Its mostly candle stick analysis on hrly charts. If u have a hammer or a doji or some other pattern, you know how the previous hour went.

You can also focus on the classic definition of trend reading to see if the bars made a higher high , high low for up trend.

Another system is to track the pivot. high + close + low divided by 3. Higher pivot means uptrend. the distance of this pivot from the previous bar shows the strength of the trend...

4900 has only 7-8 point...

normally expiry days... has 40 points for grabbing by this strategy...today only 8 points... not worth the trouble..

It is a good idea to buy 4800Ce and 4900PE as the max loss is 7/-. Gain for a expiry beyond 4907/4793.

why would u want to loose 7 points plus brokerage...?

its a pure directional call... trade NF...

i was planning to short 4800 call and 4900 put... but the diff isnt much and avoided the trade...
