I have heard about Bull Flag or Bear Flag. But in the last 3 days whatever it forms in NIFTY looks more like a Caterpillar. So it was better for me not to touch NIFTY today. Let the caterpillar become a butterfly then we can play with the butterfly :thumb:
looks like some kind of squeeze to me. It might get burst in one side for sure in coming days.

CATERPILLAR !!! Is it a strategy suitable for flat market ? How to build up ?
Many, many strategies. By the way: Do you even understand options in its basics or how they work? Why do I ask? If you not even would know that, then any strategy recommended to you has no value. Try to find out your strategy here: http://www.theoptionsguide.com/option-trading-strategies.aspx Was posted from an other member in the forum. Here at least you find all the most basic strategies which could be interesting for you.

Good luck / DanPickUp

There is no such thing as a caterpillar options strategy.

Yes I know, there is no such strategy as Caterpillar. It is just a name I have given to the NIFTY movement in the last 3 trading days. The way it has moved up and down looks more like a Caterpillar rather than a FLAG or channel.

So for Caterpillars I am suggesting OTM Credit spreads

Don't worry. If some times people some times show off as smart alecks, this is very much ok and can be fun and really interesting, but always showing off as it can some times stress the nerves. This time it was more on the nerving part. Never mind and lets welcome back Sir Arcus.

Take care / DanPickUp
