Thank you all for your kind and encouraging words. I could see a big list of sympathetic fellow traders in you. I really feel good to read those sweet words. Right now, As I said my Heart is willing but my mind is not. So let me at take a break for at least 40 days and digest what I have been doing for all these 40 months.

A lot of friends have been telling me that this thread has given them some knowledge on Options. So those who have learnt Options from this thread, Please continue to share your ideas. Sharing is the best way to learn.

If I am destined to come back, I will come back Sweet and Strong and may be I will have something sweet and simple to share.

Until then please take care and Bye. :thumb:
On that note, requesting the moderators to close this thread.

Raj, if and when you return, you can request the mods to re-open this thread, or open another thread.

Till then, please continue to look in here from time to time and post your comments. Even if you are not trading, your opinions and thoughts are valued and will benefit the members.

This is a rare case of me recommending a thread closure, because I am principally against it. But this is a rare case of a hurt trader and a good member and I think that the other members comments, however well-meaning, will be counterproductive.

Thanks.

@Healthraj

Have been following the post's and comments you made in the last few days.

Now you tell that you want to quit spending time in the forum here. You can be assured, there is nothing wrong with that. If you feel you are too much connected to the place, take a break. Enjoy your new time you suddenly have by not staying on line. Do use this time to its best and to the best of your family.

I do not care about what you told about your problems you have with trading, as this is part of learning. It is part of learning like in any other business. We all go through stages like this and we all have to take some times extreme very hard setbacks. What us not kills, makes us stronger. You are not killed, so there is only one thing which is left :)

On the other hand: You told about your health problems and about your real family in real live. A live far away from the ghetto of the virtual life. This points do sound bad to me and here I wish you all the best to recover what ever it needs to make you to be the one again you have been 40 months ago. As I can give only words to this, I wish that at least those words about your recovery of your health and your family live will support you in what ever way they can. Do not forget to go first for you health and family. Even you did spend a lot of time to the forum, this will be the last you have to think about. It will run and exist even you are no more there. So value what is more important for your self.

If you made all the loss you told you made in the market, do not try to play a game in the future to get a revenge from it. Accept the loss and that's it. Now I wish you all the best and I wish you that you may once in your live will meet the master of options: Sir DanPickUp, to discuss under four eyes about what you think went wrong in your option trading.

There is no need to close this thread. Let it be open :thumb:

Everyone needs a break and well-deserved too....rest, relax and enjoy other things in life. Trading is hard work and one needs to enjoy life too :)

Enjoying life is more important than just trading forever. What use is earning money if one does not get to ENJOY it ? ;)

Honestly, most assumptions that traders start to build their strategy around are *wrong*. Upgrade your knowledge and view points about trading (do you understand how complex adaptive systems work? hedging strategies? multiple Options trading strategies, optionality).

I know you are a hard working trader but am not sure how sound your assumptions about OI... OI can help but am not sure you can bet on them for one simple reason: people who hedge can take both long and short positions. OI of futures contract may help but OI of options are way more foggy to be of any use...

You simply entered short when markets are exploding up in the name of following systems! clearly thats not adaptive trading that adapts to environment. Atleast you should enter only in small quantity but entered short multiple times on that period based on 'signals'.

clearly: that trading is not adaptive and you are doubling down on loss (violation of position sizing rules)

Escape went short too but he hedged with a long APR CE, so he escaped the heat and being a unhedged options buyer... you got into trouble. Being an options buyer you are supposed play to capture volatility!

When you are in loss.. you are throwing up charts just like Long Term Capital Nobel prize winning economists did to their hedge fund... and defending your losses!

* Read Eckhart Tolle, http://thepiratebay.se/search/trying not to try/0/99/0] and http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/9672184/Cool_Down_-_Getting_Further_by_Going_Slower_-_EPUB

* Upgrade your knowledge, check your assumptions, read Nassem Taleb, Complex adaptive systems, Options volatility trading, esp. about mindsets etc etc.
* paper trade and with small quantity with new knowledge.

#4 sincere best wishes

Take care of your health and relationships man! Trading is like a time pass challenging game, don't let this silly game to eat in your core life assets. That's the dumbest trade one can do even if one become billionaire in markets!

Ironically when you take things lightly... things will fall into place.

Take care and my best wishes

#5 disclaimer :)

Am just a silly dude, you don't have to take me and my words seriously. I assume no expertise in anything I speak... so the above text can be very much a pointless babble!
Any idiot can dish out advices after an event is over, usually such postmortem analysis suffer from hindsight bias!

Hello Guys,

Its been a long time to come back to TJ. Have taken some time off from trading and will be doing very few trading in this election season. As all of you might be aware, We might be in for a big volatility game as the election approaches. So can we discuss the various possibility of the election on market and come up with a techinique to cash in on the election?

Fibonacci levels have always intrigued and it has a way of fitting in, I would be more interested in your interpretation of TD_supply and TD_demand lines. I could figure out the way of drawing, but could not come around the target numbers, care to share?
