NIFTY Range for Today

MAX COI @ 7700-7900. MAX OI @ 7800-8000.

Made low of 7730. So may be next target is 7800. Max possible 7850 (AVG of COI and OI). If not able to cross 7780, then will probably go back to 7750 / 7700 / 7650.

The idea is to Wait for the First session to pan out. And play only in the Second session. It is better to not get caught in the First session. Looking at this week's move, it was bearish overall and so it might end up Bearish.

Today's Spot high 7769 I think. Do not know how the Futures high is showing as 7872.7 :)

As per OI 7750 is showing as the Strong support. Let us see if it holds.
As per COI Values, the Support is at 7650.

Raj sir,

What about bank nifty ?

Average range is showing at 15550 to 15600 however currently it is at 15700 so ideal to short here?

On 15 TF it is not able to sustain on 20 EMA too.

BANKNIFTY Levels.

MAX COI @ 15500-16200. OI@ 15000-16000
Range is 15500-15675-15850.

Going below 15500 today, it will be a Sharp move to 15300 or even lower.

LTF Range-15550-15732-15955 - Minor Resistance @ 15801
HTF Range-15433-15693-15943 - Minor Resistance @ 15757

So ideally it might be good to SELL around the Minor Resistance 15750-15800. COI Range top is also at 15850.

Also one more thing to bring your notice about 15700 CHGOI. According to OATshhet it is been shown as bearish because CHGOI CE > CHGOI PE however CHGOI CE has positive price action so I believe it is something that people are buying CE rather than shorting.
Does this means not been considered in bull favor rather than bears?

I think it is similar to Yesterday. Now the MAX COI changed to 15000-16200 with Pivot at 15600. So I think you can SELL at 15700.

So it is not very easy to decide with whatever system or data you have ?

Just by looking at the OI, you cannot predict whether it is a Buy or a SELL. For the sake of convenience, assume that it is a SELL since majority of the OI positions is a SELL. That was the important assumption when I developed the OAT. The whole OAT tool and arriving at a trading range is based on the SELL and not a BUY

Thanks Raj for your comments, I generally look for 20 EMA to be broken firmly along with the OAT data so just tought to ask you about it.
