Amazing Raj  you rock :clapping:

Today PUT COI & Max OI are at 8400 do we interpret this as strengthening of 8400 support?

The COI at 8600 and 8700 are low with very little addition (in-fact 8700 COI is -ve) does this mean further upside up to 8800?
@ Soumanag

Hope this thread does not start as a thread of predictors. Even if the result is fine and noticed with respect in this case, further predicting market post would earlier or later conquer forum rules and attract action from mods.

As you have a clear idea how dear Healthraj is doing his way of thoughts and analyzes to think about where market could move, this should not be a problem for you to do it now by your self.

Hope you do understand the comment, as others do follow the "No predicting rules in the forum".

Take care and have a nice day / Dan :)

Old joke which every body already knows about it and why it happen, include the thread owner, but thanks for the support of my old avatar. :clapping:

By the way: What is the aim of it?

Have a nice evening / Dan

Hi Raj,

For last 1 year the HV is ranging from 9 to 16. So Nifty is trading near 16 HV level now. Though it is showing low in OAT, considering last 2 years volatility level, it is on high range. What is your opinion on volatility? is it high or low?

Wonderful thread. Im new to options. Can anyone tell me what is COI? What does it indicate? Thanks[/QUOTE
If you are a new trader pls go thru the very first page of the thread and complete reading all pages, howeover, COI means change in Open interest, and to know what is Open interest read this thread from 1st page

thanks

Im going through this thread from page 1. Now done almost 20 pages. Long way to read 700 pages.

I was trying to analyse nifty data now. Have a doubt if anyone can clear.

Max OI is at 8400-9000.
Max chng in OI at 8400 PE (addition of 722,275) & 8500 CE (-487,700)

Am i correct so far?

Also, Next highest Chng in OI at 8600 pe @ 412,025 and for 8600 @ -238,475.
So this means that put writers are writing 8600 puts in the hope that market will not fall below this and 8600 call writers are squaring off their positions because the market is going up. Same with 8700 ce showing minus.

Am i correct or did i get it all wrong?

Hi,
Your analysis is correct. However OI action @ different strikes is subject to individual interpretation. Bears are squaring off lower strike calls to cover loss but adding at 9000 (as far as I remember, have not checked in last 3 days) so it would emerge as major resistance. Weekly support remains at 8400 but might shift to a higher strike on Monday. Also look at the volume figures to determine strength of the trend. Max Pain analysis is also important since a large divergence between MP & spot gives opportunity for positional swing trade. Option chain like all other TA is dynamic and indications may change within half a session. So keep on monitoring your position. All these have been discussed by Raj in the starting few posts and are built in the OAT. best of luck and happy analysis :)
