Converted this to a Credit spread today,

Long 6500CE @ 49.5 (40) = -9.5
Short 6600CE @ 26.5 (22) = +4.5 (Closed)
Short 6400CE @ 73 (71) = +2

Expecting market to be flat or bearish today due to expiry.
Very bad judgement today from me

Current status,

Long 6500CE @ 49.5 (46) = -3.5
Short 6600CE @ 26.5 (22) = +4.5 (Closed)
Short 6400CE @ 73 (82) = -9

Net P/L = -8 points

Exited the losing position without any loss!

Long 6500CE @ 49.5 (34) = -15.5
Short 6600CE @ 26.5 (22) = +4.5 (Closed)
Short 6400CE @ 73 (62) = +11

Net P/L = 0.

Could have waited for profit today as market looks bearish for today but dont want to sit with a losing trade when it gave an opportunity to exit without any loss...Will wait for another opportunity :thumb:

Ananthsji,

I have given a different spread where you can get high profit. Please read the link:

High Profit EOD based option Strategy for Advanced Traders

Please put forth your views.
Dear Pannalal ji,

Thanks for coming up with strategies...but there are so many 'IF's in it. That is bit scary isn't it? Also you have not mentioned risk/reward of these strategies which is very important. Will comment in your thread when I get some time. :thumb:

Risk/Reward in two sentences:

If you would have done transaction on 5th Nov 2013.

Profit if Index is less than and equal to 6400 on 28.11.2013 is 112.35 points:clap:
Profit for Index equal to 6500 on 28.11.2013 is 12.35

Now, calculate how much chances are there for Nifty to go beyond 6500 on 28th Nov 2013.:)

Dear Pannalal,

On Oct 1st week, NIFTY spot was at around 5800 level..at the end of Oct NIFTY was around 6300+ level which is all time high. Did you expect it to break all time high? Many would not have imagined it. Frankly i was not expecting and i was thinking resistance at each level and thought it will stop the upmove.
Bottom line is you cant live with "hope" in market and also you cant "pray" and sit idle that your position will come to profit. I will visit your thread if you continue the discussion there. Thanks :thumb:

Current position,

Long 6200PE @ 78 (74) = -4
Short 6100PE@ 50 (48) = +2

Net P/L = -2 points :thumb:

Market closed at LOD...expecting bears to win!!! :thumb:
Yesterday's decision proved right today :thumb:

Still there is not much profit in the spread. IV is very low as of now.
Maximum OI is at 6000PE. I feel market can see that level. :thumb: but minor support at 6200.

Current status,

Long 6200PE @ 78 (83) = +5
Short 6100PE@ 50 (53) = -3

Net P/L = +2 Points

Nifty Fut premium is about +50 points that could be the reason for our spread not given much profit today. I will hold this position until NIFTY spot close above 6300.
