There are number of other threads in Technicals Section of this site.

Then read the book - Technical Analysis of Stock Trends by Robert D. Edwards and John Magee. That will give you clear understanding of technicals.

If you believe in what you read and want to use technicals fro trading, keep Magee's book in cupboard and read this book- John J. Murphy - Technical Analysis Of The Financial Markets.

There after obtain a charting software and observe charts for one year. If you want to trade, do only paper trades. If you feel you are successful in paper trades, then start real trading slowly.
