ODIN to Excel to AmiBroker, FCharts with backfill

in rt odin put amibroker database path correctly.

It worked, path was correct not sure why!

Thanks for the great utility! I am able to get data from odin to amib realtime but please help me in updating one minute data I saved from trade tiger in DDMMYYYY, HHMMSS, OHLC VOLUME format which I am unable to get updated into this data, for continuity.

Export data to text files. Then use Amibroker's import wizard to import it into any database.

I m using TradeRacer frm ICICIdirect. it gives rt data in excel bt nt sure which type it is (nest. odin etc). bt by column structure, it seems like odin. here r snaps,

as market is clsd nw, sheets r clr n cant verify its working. (first tab Market Watch ODIN-RT is named by me as just a watch name, its not TradeRacer function)

If TradeRacer gives live prices in Excel, link them to the columns in RT-ODIN.xlsm. You will get live prices in RT-Odin. Thereafter, you have click on Start RTData. You will get those prices in Amibroker.

You do not need Arbitrage.xls. Save the excel file created by TradeRacer with whatever name it suggests so that it opens the same file next day so that you don't have to do the linking every day.

jst fr info, TradeRacer opens xls by two ways :

1) by right-clk in TradeRacer watch and choose "Open in Ms-Excel"
this opns trading sht wth bit bulky col layout, it also hav two col with BUY/SELL lnk with ech scrip rows whch u cn clk n directly go to TradeRacer BUY/SELL dlog bx

2) by selecting any scrip in watch n COPY then PASTE in any xls sht
this wil jst opn RT data in tht xls sht without BUY/SELL link, it hav clean layout too

In that case, you can use method 2. It is creating link in both sheets.
Copy appripriate columns from there to appropriate column in RT-Odin and you should get live prices there. Thereafter, you have to click on StartRTData.

But copy paste every day is tedious. If it opens same sheet each time you can have permanent link.

it opns SHEET1 evrytime bt file wil b new n name it doesnt care, like if i hav opnd 4 empty shts recently in excel thn excel will opn new file as book5 only. still in sheet1 i get Traderacer data.

also, TradeRacer allows only single watch to b opnd in excel, if i opn othr watch thn it doesnt opn n the prev one stops data updt, seems like intrfc-bug.

i m nt yt sure abt daily copy-pst, need to chk (btw i jst need to copy any single scrip frm watch, n paste in excel opns all scrips frm tht watch). its still gd if i cn rcv data (til i switch to othr brokerage...!)

one thing i frgot to tell u, i m in MidleEast presently. hav adjsted exch time in rtodin.xls as per local time, hope is ok.

also AB IntradaySettings are ShowDaySession, FiltrWeekend, ExchTime local ME time, time-compr ExchTime, mixedEOD signals n othr check bx also markd. i hope all this ok.

Did you copy format files to Your\Amibroker\Formats folder?
Go thru troubleshooting in Setup instructions.
