Dear Aery,

Have you hedged it. If not why have you kept the position open overnight and that too before a long weekend!!! You need to ask youself this question again and again everyday. Rule of thumb - Do not keep any postion open for next day without any hedge. Market is very unpredictable, its merciless and punishes you badly in case you are on the wrong foot. So, you need to protect yourself against all odds. You may be lucky once, but you won't be lucky always.

Its a pure gamble to keep position open for the next day. You have already lost considerable amount of money and don't think you have enjoyed loosing it.

Make an exit. You can refer to 1st post of this thread to understand a options trading strategy which works for me. Do prepare a plan daily and trade as per plan. This plan should be tried and tested on paper or using small trades. This plan should work on all adverse condition with low/moderate risk of loosing money.

We need to work more on protecting what we have rather than working on how to make.

Regards

Dear Aery,

You can do the paper trading as per the strategy posted in the 1st post of this thread for atleast 3 months in a row to check its performance yourself.

I do not like posting my trades. So, will not post here. my trades.

Try doing Paper trading on the strategy by taking Realtime values from either your broker's terminal or you can use this software - Options Oracle. I am doing the same , and whenever i come across any problems , I post it here and get it clarified from ghosh_ak34
