I think,we'll need to follow a normal/direct strategy because R1-S1=333

Ghoshda's strategy states---"Sideways strategy is as under, applicable when R1~S1 <300 or >400" Am I wrong-Ghosh Sir?

Dear Ka2931,

I think I did a mistake in my previous post accidently. R1~S1 = 333 which is within the range (300, 400) then, we would not follow sideways strategy. I will correct that post and will update the same in new post.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Hi Ghosh,

Why we need to follow sideways strategy,as R1-S1 >=300 and <400?I hope we need to follow normal strategy .

One more question,As of Normal strategy we need to buy calls @S1 and put at R1.

Is this irrespective of time,as per First post?Or do we have a specific time to buy calls/puts.

Please clarify.

Dear All,

Next weeks R1=4200 and S1=3900. R1~S1 = 333 which is within the range of 300-400 and Nifty is bearish so buy atleast 2 puts at R1 and 1 call at S1. We need to keep checking the trend for another 15days to confirm this bearish mode. So, trade as per the emerging trend.

Hi Ghosh,

Is there any specific time to buy calls@S1/putsSR1 for Normal Strategy, which is going to happen for next week.

Please advice

Dear vasanth,

Under normal condition i.e. when R1~S1 >=300 and <400. Then, also I will prefer buy after 10:30AM options depending on trend. Only ratio varies, if bearish we buy more puts and less calls and vise versa.

Ghosh Sir,

My today trdae :carry forword of call and put from yesterday.call stoploss triggered.Put target achieved .have a gain.
One doubt is there.Whats the difference in sideway strategy and normal strategy?
I unable to find the difference. Please clarify the difference ?
Another one is when we carry next day with hedging then we need to close one position which in loss in morning? or wait?

Dear Vijay,

Normal strategy means buy more calls at S1 and lesser puts at R1 if Nifty is bullish and if bearish buy more puts and lesser calls at R1 and S1 respectively.

Next day if we carry forward the previous days position with hedging in place. Then, we wait for one to come in profit and once in profit we can square off this along with the hedged one. So, as to reduce chances of profit erosion.

If your risk appetite is higher then, follow :

And suppose we are in profit and we intend to hold on to the profit making position with trailing SL=10% from CMP then, we also hold the hedged postion till it hits SL=30%. Once SL hits we exit the position with loss but we keep holding the profit making position with trailing SL = 10%
