Re: Please review my portfolio (SIP)

All are with long term commitments. My age is 30 years
Dear Mayur ,..
as far as i can see still in this age u can still afford some more aggressive funds like reliance diversified power fund..... Which is having higher beta value...

HDFC Infra fund also would be one of my choice.

Still i didnt analyze much about recent fund performances but i do suggest LARGE CAP AND MID CAP FUNDS FOR A LONGER TERM VIEW..

Regards,...
Darsh

Re: Please review my portfolio (SIP)

Thanks Darsh,

I avoided SIP in any sectoral fund. I am of the opinion that SIP should be from long term perspective and sectoral funds should be avoided. Expert opinion on this is required

Also, I went for Reliance Media and Entertainment (even when it is sectoral), as i think that the Media and Entertainment will peak after we have all the "Infrastructure" in place. Please give expert opinion on this.

Please also suggest names of some LARGE CAP and MIDCAP Funds

What your portfolio lacks is a plain vanilla multicap fund. My pick would be DSP ML Equity fund.

Also avoid too many thematic funds. Also totally avoid NFOs. Continue your SIP in the following funds and do not add anymore new funds. 4 to 5 funds should make your portfolio optimal

DSP ML tiger
DSP ML Equity
Reliance growth
Magnum Contra
Fidelity tax Advantage
hi vicky how many number of funds would you think will make a good portifilio without a mess..i am planning for a long term say 15 years in a SIP.

Its definitely a nice option.

Its mere a guess, time will prove!

Hello!
Your advice in 'Mid-Cap' Sector is somewhat wrong. Birla Sunlife Equity is Multicap Fund with significant large cap tilt. While Rel. Gr. behaves more like an opportuinity fund due to its massive asset size.
