If you compare double top and 2nd complex double bottom they both are same pattern (inverse chart).

Market Structure is made up of HH-HL/LH-LL, any swings between them is a sideways market. Basic "Dow theory" is still valid, once the current structure is defined the trade has to be taken in that direction.
