Let me summarise that this will work with positional trades but as u said iam not surprised u will be late missing most of the breakouts but yes for positional strategies it might be a good strategy.

But as always there should be stop losses in place and also the amount u want from a trade shud be defined.

great day!!! today is the first day of trading for me based on this strategy. i got success. trading was like this-----1)bought mininifty at 5008(11.10 am) ,sold at 5035(11.44)......2) bought mininifty at 5039(12 pm) sold at 5061 (12.13)..........3) short mininifty at 5028(2.20 pm) bought at 5010 (2.50). total profit 63 points.

Dear Mr Pride and fellow esperts of this thread,
I trade the ftse as i am a UK based Indian and i am looking at using this wonderful sytem, although after a few days of observing i have 1 small problem:

I do as Mr Pride intructs and satisfy all his rules but find when trading the ftse although on most occasions the signal is correct 9/10 times after the cross and maybe 3 or 4, 5 minute candles the price heads back towards the moving averages and tries to cross in the other direction, which often results in me getting stopped out of the trade.

I notice this rarely happens on the nifty, am i mis understanding any form of the trade?

If someone could post a few 5 min charts of the ftse or DAX and point out to me when to trade i would be most greatful
